Montse Reece Wines reflects the journey of a winemaker whose roots stretch from the Mediterranean coast of Spain to the vineyards of Sonoma County. Born in Tarragona, Spain, Montse grew up in a culture where wine is woven into everyday life and meals are shared around the table. Inspired by that tradition, she pursued a degree in Agricultural Engineering and Enology before gaining experience across Spanish wine regions and eventually traveling to California for harvest.
Over the past two decades, Montse has built an impressive career in Sonoma County, working with respected wineries and becoming winemaker at the historic Pedroncelli Winery in Dry Creek Valley. Alongside her work there, Montse created her own label to express a more personal vision of winemaking.
Montse Reece Wines focuses on small-lot, limited-production wines inspired by her Spanish heritage and crafted from carefully sourced California fruit. Working with varietals such as Tempranillo and Albariño, Montse brings a Mediterranean sensibility to Sonoma—producing wines that are vibrant, food-friendly, and expressive of both place and culture.
Through her label, Montse shares a unique bridge between Spain and Sonoma, crafting wines that honor tradition while exploring new expressions of classic Spanish grapes grown in California.
